The course aims to help you develop new skills, improve existing skills and work towards developing independent thinking and creativity in a supportive environment.
There will be a mixture of weekly exercises to experience a variety of materials and ways of working; two opportunities to draw directly from observation of a model... Also a mini project with a more sustained exploration of a theme ...where you may progress to more independent work. The theme will be a guided choice.
- This course aims to help you to develop confidence, improve existing skills and realize your potentials.
- You will be shown how to use a variety of materials and methods, focusing on a different topic each week.
- You will work from photographs & portrait exemplars addressing the challenges faced when representing key features of the head & shoulders. Sessions are process lead.
- A range of visual language will be explored through practice, such as: Proportions, Line, tone, colour, composition & expression.
- Examples, demonstrations and exercises will introduce each lesson and individual help will happily be given.
